Regent are a Southampton four piece they are Ben Rooke (vocals), Chris Woolf (leadguitar/keys/piano), Luke Trundell (bass/guitar), George Grattan (drums).

Leading the charge into 2021, Regent released Just A Revolution on Friday 5 February. It is the lead single and title track of Regent’s debut album, confirmed for release later this year.

Written at the end of last year and recorded just before Christmas, Just A Revolution, was produced by Chris Taylor at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool. The track swiftly follows previous singles Time To Loose The Blues, Dirty Little Sinner, Today and No Going Back, all produced by Brit-Pop heavyweight Fraser Smith (Shed Seven).

Just A Revolution meets us with a full on assault of the ears, with pounding drums and squealing guitars it starts off at frenzied pace envisaging the noise that you may expect at a Revolution !!

This track is a real no frills straight up old fashioned rock’n’roll blast, sneering vocals layered over the jarring and rasping sonics and frontman Ben Rooke singing “We’ll rise with the sun, because we have just begun... It’s a revolution”.

Ben also sings “These days music is so dull, all I want to hear is rock’n’roll”  and with Just A Revolution that message is loud and clear, the journey for Regent is to deliver a loud and clear message to keep rock’n’roll alive.
