TEOSE - Picture Myself
TEOSE are an indie three piece that made their way into the Glasgow music scene in late 2019. The band is made up of Melissa Brisbane (guitar/vocals), Sean Mason (bass) and Jordan Thompson (drums).
Although they only started gigging at the end of 2019, they’ve already released an album and played a variety of shows, including a support slot for a sold out gig with Pillow Queens.
They’ve been working hard all year to ensure high quality content for 2021 and are looking to make an impact with their latest single Picture Myself released on Friday 5 February.
Picture Myself is a sharp blast of of indie rock, a steady drum beat and a heavy bass drive the track, with the guitar coming in and overlaying the melody which is catchy as hell.
It’s bold and in your face and you can see why TEOSE have slotted comfortably into the burgeoning grungy indie punk scene that’s to the in Glasgow at the minute. The pace changes of Picture Myself in the chorus really lift the track as does the middle section guitar riff.
Mind you it also helps that the lyrics are also well crafted and stick in your head, I love the opening lines of “I picture myself as quite the romantic type but I’m way too shy, so I never really get to show them what I'd like to act like i don’t care at all yeah that’s what i’ll do”.
TEOSE are certainly hitting the mark with their well crafted sound and have a big future ahead if they continue to make big bold statement songs.
