Misa, a singer songwriter from London, is deeply passionate about music, describing it as the core of her life.

Misa creates musical collages of wide ranging genres such as alternative rock, Folk, Jazz and Trip pop with a great focus on lyrics. Her influences include Pink Floyd, Beck, Air, Zero7 and Massive Attack.

It’s been a very busy few months for Misa as she works hard to get her music out there, Home is the latest single from her debut album Broken Record which will be released in the Autumn.

Home was released on Wednesday 12 August, and when asked about the track Misa said:

Home is the place where memories always live and moments grow. It signifies something we all crave, something that exists inside of us. A place only you know. It's not perfect but it's yours. No matter where you go or how you decide to recreate it, the mark it leaves on your soul is permanent and something we all return too.

Home is another fantastic track from Misa, it’s a hauntingly beautiful ballad reminiscing of that safe place you need to be when you are coping with the everyday of life.

The song has a gentle acoustic melody which is complemented by the strong and emotional lyrics delivered by Misa.

I really love the melancholic and poignant lyrics of the track particularly the opening verse where Misa sings “they say home is the place where memories always live, and I have taken but now I need to give, all the echoes of you, still, haunt my days, and the shadows of you, that I cannot escape, when you’re angry, when you’re alone do you remember our memories of home?“

There is a nice part of the track when the positivity of going home to that safe place shines through when Misa sings the words “and I’ll be there to take your hand, I’ll be there to show you how to stand”.

Home is another very accomplished track from singer/songwriter Misa, and showcases what a wonderful lyricist she is, however, the standout memory from the track is the gorgeous vocals.

Misa is a huge talent, get yourself listening to her, it is mood music, but she has songs for all moods.
