The Dead Shadows - Zombies

The Dead Shadows are an Aberdeen quartet, who in their own words describe themselves as an Indie/Psych band.

Their music influences are hugely varied and include, The Black Angel's, B.R.M.C, The New Candy's, The Music, Brian Jonestown Massacre, led Zeppelin, Oasis and many more.

I was contacted by them to have a listen and review their latest single Zombies which was released on 20 January 2020.

Zombies lasts just under 6 minutes and has a brooding intro, starting off with heavy guitars and sharp drumming underpinned by a fuzzy feedback. There is a good melody to the song and strong lyrics, and a brimming guitar solo to end the track. It’s a good track, probably slightly overlong for a single, but it will set well in a live set. It also piqued my interest enough to listen to their other available tracks on Spotify.
