Tizane - He Took It All Back

Tizane is an indie pop singer/songwriter hailing from South East London.

Tizane discovered her music talents at a young age, it soon became her mission in life to write songs and explore new ways to express her creative spirit. She did this by hiding away in her cluttered bedroom, picking out guitar chords, experimenting on retired keyboards and setting up a small studio where she started writing her dark, melancholic and surreal ballads.

Driven by her passion, Tizane began performing in open mics and a few years later, she embarked on a pub tour at historic venues like The Dublin Castle and The Monarch. She performed many of her own songs, receiving general acclaim from audiences who describe her as Kate Bush meets Billie Eilish.

Tizane released her latest single He Took It All Back on Friday 11 September, incidentally this is her debut release on her own newly formed label, Jiggery Pokery through State 51 Conspiracy.

He Took It All Back is a hauntingly gorgeous melancholic indie pop track, the one that initially jumps out is Tizane’s beautifully dreamy vocals, full of emotion and personality.

The simplicity of the melody allows the vocal to tell the story of what sounds like a lost relationship when the protagonist’s partner withdraws their love as capture by the heartbreaking words “he took it all back” as she realises the love has gone.

This was my first time listening to Tizane and I was blown away by the gorgeous and confident vocal, hard to believe it is from a nineteen year old.

I believe there is a debut album due soon, with the provisional title Cherry, so that is going to be worth looking out for. Tizane is a huge talent, I can only see her star rising over the next year or so, make sure you hop on now for what will be a great upward rise.
