Say Hello To Second Floor

Who are Second Floor

We are Alex, songwriter, loves flamingos and prosecco and Greg, producer, more the alpaca kind of guy, loves beer for breakfast.

We met in primary school in a small farmers’ village in Austria. Started performing with our first band Empty Flags way back in 2007. Played many gigs, that our parents had to drive us too back in the day and Yes it was awkward. Can you imagine my mum saying “Greg, have fun at the concert and be home for dinner at five”, and me thinking “Fuck that Mom, I’m a rockstar...

We graduated High School together and were bunk buddies in the military. The first recordings we did were on tape. That’s how old we are.

Where are you from

Vienna in Austria

What music genre are you

Future Bass Pop Fusion, best for anybody who’s up for a three minute dive to another place and time.

Our songs are all about the feelings you don’t wanna talk about.

For fans of

Life & Love, The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Lauv

What music have you released so far

We released a bunch of songs as our alter ego Second Floor Rumour to dive into the electronic scene and experiment with the genre. But it’s not a rumour anymore and you can follow our journey by entering the Second Floor.

We’ve just released our very first single called Pier No. 26 as Second Floor. A track that helps you to escape from quarantine and go on vacation for at least three minutes.

oh! and My Thoughts

The debut single Pier No.26 was released a few weeks back and it’s a piece of summer in a song, it’s got a very catchy electronic beat, which just produces a real feel good vibe.

It’s got a great melody, set by the drum machine and layered synths, there is also some clever stop start harmonies almost makes it sound like a record that has jumped but it works incredibly well with the beat.

Lyrically it’s very much a love song, singing “you pull me closer and now I’m leaving your bed, it’s like the dream we’re meant to be walking underneath the California sun, it seems…. in our way but it’s keeping me holding on” and also “come say that you love me” is a recurring message.

You can just imagine sitting in a Mediterranean beach bar listening to this banger, but if that’s not happening this year, grab a beanbag throw it down in the back garden, crank up the volume and watch the sunset over your rooftop, then close your eyes this fantastic tune will transport you to Ibiza anyways !!

I would also suggest that you hit up some of the releases under Second Floor Rumour, they have a few more absolute bangers in that guise too, I particularly liked Your Love and Hotel Room.
