Amy Lou - Tonic Wine

IMG_0080.jpeg

Amy Lou hails from Dunfermline and plays a fiery brand of glittery indie pop with a distinct Scottish growl.

When touring she is joined by her band The Monday Club and they have gained a nod of approval on their musical style including from the one and only Jim Gellatly.

Today sees the release of her latest single Tonic Wine, which I was lucky enough to get an advance copy to allow me to review.

Tonic Wine is a great track, starting off with a drum intro and a great guitar melody which underpins the song, it has a really catchy chorus “one step, take another step back, I can’t help, can you help it”. There is also a spoken word verse which adds to the track showcasing Amy Lou’s poetry skills.

This is a fantastic indie pop track, allowing Amy Lou’s fantastic voice to shine through and will follow on from the critical success of previous single Chania.
