Patrick Jordan - Silver Linings

Patrick Jordan brings us his latest release Silver Linings from his upcoming album of the same name.

After a successful career as a producer for artists all over the UK, including Cattle & Cane, Young Rebel Set, Eve Conway and Jodie Nicholson, the country/blues artist from the North East of England has used this breadth of experience to forge himself a successful solo career.

Patrick has had a productive start to his solo career with his debut album A Woman Like You released in February 2020 but due to COVID he was unable to tour it. Rather than rest on his laurels he hit his home studio once more and recorded his follow-up album, Louder, performing all instruments himself and collaborating remotely with some great artists along the way.

This latest single Silver Linings is released in advance of the third album due for release in March and is a brilliant slice of country alt pop/rock with an engrossing guitar riff that just has the feet tapping from the outset.

Lyrically it’s got a great chorus that after one or two listens you are singing along with “we used to find those silver linings every day, now you’re starting to break my heart and chip them away”.

Now there is nothing new with this formula, it’s tried and tested but Patrick delivers it with a charming style and flawless musicianship that just hooks you in.
