Paris Street Rebels - Diane

Paris Street Rebels are a three piece Rock'n'Roll band from Ballingry in Fife, they are Kevin Murphy Jnr (vocals/guitar), Grant 'G' Malcolm (vocals/guitar) and Cameron Gaudin (drums).

Taking inspiration from the working class heroes and punk ethos of yesteryear, fans of The Clash, Fontaines DC and Gallus will rally behind the Paris Street Rebels.

Hailed by the likes of Radio X’s John Kennedy and Tenement TV, Paris Street Rebels reach for new heights of devilish debauchery on their latest release Diane. The track recorded at 7 West Studios in Glasgow was released on, Friday 28 August.

Diane is a rip roaring three and a half minutes of riotous punk tinged Rock'n'Roll, huge guitar riffs and frenzied drums drive the catchy as hell melody, which is complemented by acid tongue lyricism.

I love the lines “I won’t make it to work today is it the fire or the that fever keeps me from the nine til five” and “down on my knees begging please not to come my way, not to come my way” particularly the latter as that is a real ear worm that stays with you long after the song ends.

Diane is a huge song, it is a perfect example of the energy and melodies that Paris Street Rebels robustly deliver, they are a band that will put Ballingry firmly at the heart of Scottish musics indie punk scene.
