Misa - Think About Me

Think About Me Album Cover.jpeg

Misa, a singer songwriter from London, is deeply passionate about music, describing it as the core of her life.

Misa creates musical collages of wide ranging genres such as alternative rock, Folk, Jazz and Trip pop with a great focus on lyrics. Her influences include Pink Floyd, Beck, Air, Zero7 and Massive Attack.

It’s been a very busy few months for Misa as she works hard to get her music out there, Think About Me is the fifth single from her debut album Broken Record which will be released in the Autumn.

Think About Me was released today, Thursday 9 July and is a melancholic pop tune, it is almost acoustic in its production, with a dreamy melody that is used to complement Misa’s stunning vocals.

Lyrically, it is about an old relationship and how it can’t be forgotten, those opening lines really sum it up, when Misa sings “please don’t cry you’ll only break my heart in two again, why does your face come back to me in moments without end, it’s my fault I don’t have the strength to be myself, now I blame you in front of my friends as if you’re someone else”.

This is a song that will strike a chord with many people at some point in their lives, when they say they have moved on, but they haven’t really, this is reflected in the lines “And there is not a single day that I don’t think of you, do you think about me my friend, do you think about me”.

Think About Me is a great pop track, well produced, with a melancholic melody which sits in harmony with the lyrics and the story it tells, and all held together with Misa’s fantastic vocal.

You should also catch up with Misa’s previously released singles as she demonstrates a great versatility in her songwriting, including Beirut Blues which is sung in Lebanese, her country of birth.
