100 Fables - Roadside

100 Fables are the Glasgow based alt pop trio Lyndsey Liora, Cameron Wilson and Logan Whyte.

After going through upheaval both personal and personnel related, 100 Fables leader, front woman and all round force of nature Lyndsey Liora has brought her band back to where they started, but at the same time ready to explore uncharted waters.

Liora has taken firm control of the reins of 100 Fables, refocusing the groups unique spin on anthemic pop music, moving away from their 80’s inspired sound and bringing it crashing firmly into the 21st century.

In terms of this new sound if you think Chainsmokers, Twenty One Pilots, Lizzo, PVRIS, Halsey and P!ATD then you’re getting close to where 100 Fables are coming from these days.

100 Fables return with a new sound and a new single Roadside, co-written and produced by former Prides man Lewis Gardiner which is released today, Friday 21 August.

Roadside is a brilliant track, it takes 100 Fables firmly into the EDM sphere, it’s got a fantastic danceable melody, it’s a sound that’s definitely geared to be played on the stages of festivals or in the clubs of those Mediterranean destinations we used to head to in the summer.

It is a deliberate reinvention of the band, as outlined by their back catalogue being removed from streaming platforms.

The one steady is the incredible vocals from Liora, delivered with the emotion and strength that she is renowned for.

I loved the singalong chorus of the song, particularly the repeated euphoric chant of “I will find my own way from here”.

That single line epitomises exactly what 100 Fables have done, they have without doubt found their own way, Roadside is the change in direction that will bring the band a lot more attention and will see them booked for festival slots in 2021 in the UK and beyond and will also bring them chart success.

100 Fables have found their feet and have perhaps arrived at the vision that Liora always had in mind.

Roadside is an absolutely banging track, give it a play and dance along, get onboard now and watch 100 Fables shoot for the stars.
