Post Ironic State - Beck and Call

The five piece band from Perth have been in the studio recording their third single ‘Beck and Call’ which is released today, St Valentines Day.

The song is about 4 and 1/2 minutes long and starts off at a nice pace driven by drums and synthesiser, supported by guitar and a strong vocal singing about the darker side of love, on listening it reminds me of The Editors.

It does lose its way slightly with an unnecessary short guitar solo before reverting back to the original starting melodies, but that little blip aside it is a strong third single which when played live will enhance their reputation as intense live performers.
