Say Hello To The Shed Project

Who are The Shed Project

We were originally a three piece, everything from writing to demos, mixing to mastering all done in John's garden shed (hence the bands name). We are now a five piece Roy (vocals), John (rhythm) Tim (lead) Vince (bass) and Mike (drums). The concept is still the same on the music side but we are rehearsing in the studio for live gigs hopefully around November.

We did a live session on the Kieran Kenny drive time show on All F.M Manchester back in March and also did one on Bolton FM around the same time and hope to do more in the future

Bolton

What music genre are you

We are an indie/alternative band (we call it easy listening for the masses)

oh! and My Thoughts

I just love Lucky Number it’s full on 90’s indie nostalgia but without sounding dated.

The track is driven by infectious guitar hooks, laid back drums and packed with catchy lyrics and is a great showcase for the music talents of The Shed Project.

Those catchy lyrics start with the opening verse when Roy sings “staring at me you’re staring into heaven, what’s your lucky number well I guess it’s a seven, hey I look in your eyes nothing to give, one day one day one day you’re going to be with me, yeah your going to be with me”.

and then you have the chantable “be with me, ………..…… be with me” which will be roared back at them when the song is played live.

The catchy lyrics continue throughout, I loved the verse “I gave you a wink does it make you think, will you be mine until the end of time, yeah you put me in my place you put a smile on my face, one day one day one day you’re going to be with me, yeah your going to be with me, I will give you my number, I’ll give you the key”.

The Shed Project are reinventing the 90’s indie genre with their songwriting, if there was a book on writing indie anthems then the boys have nailed it, Lucky Number really is a shimmering production, it’s got huge guitar hooks that grab you by the collar, it’s got low key drums which keep the rhythm on track and it’s got glorious singalong lyrics, what more do you need!!

Get listening to The Shed Project, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
