We're from the Isle of Man, operating mainly out of Ben's basement in Laxey.

What music genre are you

Our sound has been described as surf/indie rock with a few elements of punk. What are genres these days anyway?!

What music have you released so far

We've just released our fourth single Yesterday's Jam, following on from our earlier releases Sink Below, Ride the Wave and Empty Swimming Pool. Got some more new stuff in the works so keep your ears peeled for that.

oh! and My Thoughts

So I was a little bit behind the curve on Voodoo Bandits, the first track I heard of theirs was Yesterday’s Jam and wow what a great introduction.

It’s a short blast of energetic punchy indie pop, it’s got a fantastically catchy melody driven by a great guitar riff and some snappy drums.

It has some very witty lyrics, I love the verse “you’re washing up in the tide, those muddy paws keep touching mine, sniffin' on jet fuel, I was tricked to think that I'm cool, coulda had a better day, movin’ to another phase”.

Yesterday’s Jam is an outstanding track it’s melody creates a real summery feel good vibe that is perfect for your back garden festival as it will have you bopping along right from the opening notes.

But don’t stop with Yesterday’s Jam catch up with their other released tracks, I also really enjoyed Empty Swimming Pool, which has a funkier more chilled vibe to it but still delivers a killer melody, delivering yet another festival friendly banger.

As the say they are working on some new stuff so keep your eyes peeled for future releases, I sense a big future ahead for Voodoo Bandits !!
