PAGES are an alternative indie pop band from Aberdeen, they are Matt (vocals,guitar), Jack (lead guitarist) and Kyle (drums) and are a last minute addition to the line up supporting Black Tiles.

They start the set with Get Out of My… which is great intro with a very psychedelic floating sound to it, very 60’s !! In a Conversation is a nice straightforward pop tune and definitely a foot tapper and Wonderful Life continues the theme of well constructed indie pop.

Next comes All That I Love which has a great melody and a nice approach to very Noel Gallagher ish lyrics.

Expectations is another great tune, delivered with tight guitars and solid percussion. They then play Bubblebrain, which due to the lyrics “on my mind all the time” I interpret as a song about lost love and for me it is the standout tune in the set.

They end with Another Day which is a little rockier and is good way to finish a very enjoyable set.

Not sure how much warning they had about playing tonight, but it was a very accomplished set with very tight instrumentation and confident vocals.
