The Riot Vans present a unique look at indie and punk and keep you engaged with their explosive yet melodic style to their music.

Since the release of their debut EP “Roll on the Riot Vans!”, the band have headlined venues across Scotland including playing at the 02 Academy Glasgow, Classic Grand, Sneaky Pete’s and Church Dundee.

Their latest single Memory Lane is released today, Friday 20 March.

To quote the band:

The song tells a story of waking up in an unrecognisable place. Politely greeted by a mysterious figure, he recites the events of the previous night back to you, completely unknowingly what happened. Chatting up girls with boyfriends, escaping his angry fists and leaping into a taxi where you proceed to destroy the interior with the supper you ate just a few hours prior. The story leads to you realise this isn’t someone’s flat, but a prison cell and police officer charging you with the wrongdoings of last night. Memory Lane takes you on a nostalgic trip and snaps back into reality very quickly, the pains of being out of control come back to bite you.

Memory Lane is a full on assault on your ears, excellent high energy guitar riff which drives the song, with an almost rap style delivery to the vocals, think Mike Skinner. Lyrically it perfectly sums up the story behind the song, fully describing the consequences of a debaucherous night out.

It’s a really good three and a half minutes of fast paced punk with a chant along chorus.
