Redeemers - Peace of Mind (Demo)

Redeemers are a five piece indie rock band from Manchester they are fronted by Matty McCallum who is joined by main songwriter Eoin Harkin (lead guitar), Jacob Jones (rhythm guitar/vocals), Connor Doyle (bass guitar) and Jake Byrne (drums).

They have just released their debut single Peace Of Mind of which songwriter Harkin said:

the song is about not being able to give reassurances maybe being a bit too jaded to give that to someone during that time with them or even after the fact. Musically, the song has a slower tempo than other songs that we have up our sleeves, with a vibe and sound that lends itself to the 90’s”.

Peace Of Mind doesn’t waste any time opening straight away with an attention catching tasty guitar riff which is showcased throughout the track with it being played as a guitar solo at times.

The drums and bass keep the track sounding crisp and the at times almost spoken lyrics work really well throughout.

It’s a promising debut release from Redeemers and I look forward to hearing more from them in the future.

If you want to see Redeemers live at Off The Square in Manchester on 4 March alongside The Rah’s and The Panamas then Tickets are on sale here.

In the meantime give Peace Of Mind a listen:
