Hailing from Wales, MACY has always had a love for music.

Since the age of eleven, MACY quietly honed her Dream Pop/Contemporary R&B music, developing her writing skills along the way.

It proved to be a very successful 2019 for MACY, which saw her become one of the ten acts to be selected on the Forte 10 project. Whilst on the project, MACY played successful slots at Focus Wales, Swn Festival and Hub Festival, in what was her debut Festival Year.

Earlier this year MACY released her debut single Cinema which has received an amazing response being played on BBC Sounds, on the Adam Walton show and with Bethan Elfyn also playing the track on her BBC Wales show. The follow up single Smoking Gun was released in July and continued to receive traction from the music industry building on her early success.

MACY has now released her single Obvious which dropped on Friday 9 October and it’s another piece of outstanding pop, it’s got a dynamic dance beat that without any doubt will have you head bopping along within the opening seconds.

The meandering melody of the track suits MACY, as she delivers a fantastic poptastic vocal, nailing the vibe of the track to perfection.

Lyrically, the track is a realisation that a relationship is coming to an end, this is highlighted in the opening verse as MACY sings “it’s 2am hanging up the phone, yeah I’ve been wide awake waiting for your call, I’m taking you in breathing you out, you remember me but I’m addicted to your love, I’m waiting for you, been waiting for you all night, don’t lie to me, don’t lie to me, I know things weren’t right”.

Obvious is another banging pop song from MACY and will only enhance her reputation as a brilliant purveyor of pop and she is destined for bigger things once she has the opportunity to bring her talents to the British public.
