Eat the Noise are a noise rock band based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

They are a bit of a mystery with not too much information about them freely available. I do have it on good authority that they are in the process of recording their first EP, maybe !!

Anyway what I do know is that their debut single Orchid was released on Friday 25 September.

When Eat The Noise say they are a noise rock band they are doing their sound a bit of an injustice, Orchid is an atmospheric track, with overlays of instruments added to create a bit of unrest to the melody, there is a constant throbbing beat to the rhythm which helps you follow the organised chaos of the song.

I really enjoyed the sounds created and the production of Orchid, the only drawback for me is I like my lyrics and they were lost within the soundscapes of the track.

Orchid won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I loved the experimental nature of the track and the eerie atmosphere it creates. I look forward to the development of Eat The Noise and where they may take us next with their noise rock !!
