Luke Royalty ft. Sweets - I Could Get Used To This

Luke Royalty is a singer/songwriter from the North East of England whose engaging sound stems from a refreshing blend of soul, R&B and synth-pop influenced by artists such as Frank Ocean, Rex Orange County and Mac Miller.

Previous single October Seven has been well received with multiple plays across Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing Merseyside and BBC Radio Tees.

Luke released I Could Get Used To This yesterday, Friday 16 October via Soul Kitchen recordings. This time Luke is teaming up with Manchester based Sweets with in the first of many collaborations between Royalty and Sweets.

Continuing his creative partnership with producer Bob Mackenzie, I Could Get Used To This draws influence from Tom Misch and Rex Orange County.

The track has a chilled soul vibe to it, with its rhythmic bassline and smooth drum beat it gives a song an optimist viewpoint on new beginnings as both artists reflect on their moves away from their Northern home towns.

The chorus hook and the ear worm lyrics of “I could get used to this, I’ll find my place inside the sky, we can burn it so high, you and I, I could get used to this” give this song a real touch of joy and will ensure that this lands on playlists up and down the country.

I Could Get Used To This is a fantastic feel good and optimistic track it’s a perfect mood raiser for our current living conditions.

As collaborators Luke and Sweets gel brilliantly throughout the track and I look forward to hearing what is next in store from the pair.
