Michael Forsyth is a Scottish singer/songwriter from Huntly in Aberdeenshire, he writes music that will resonate with listeners and is greatly influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, Noel Gallagher and Richard Ashcroft.

Over the last few years Michael has been a prolific songwriter, mainly penning songs about life that many people will be able to identify with.

His latest track Live Your Dream was released on Friday 29 January and is the perfect showcase of his undoubted talent.

It has a hauntingly beautiful acoustic melody that immediately has you hooked and then we have Michael’s idyllic vocal, heart warming and full of emotion, it is a track that you can feel completely absorbed in.

As I mentioned earlier Michael writes songs that resonate with people, lyrically this song touched me as being about letting a love go and giving them the chance to explore their dreams and hopes this is beautifully illustrated by the chorus of “and all that I am ans all I’ll ever be, I give you my love the world for me, oil everywhere you go in everything you see, I hope you find the world, I hope you live your dream”.

Live Your Dream is a fantastic first release of 2021 for Michael and I’m excited to hear more from this mega talented songwriter. I highly recommend that you give him a follow but more importantly check out his back catalogue. I guarantee that you will find a new favourite song in there somewhere, possibly even more than one.

Fingers crossed that sometime during the year I will get the chance to see Michael perform live.
