Hailing from Merseyside but now residing in Manchester, Jessica Luise has found great joy and satisfaction in making music to create a connection with people all over the world ever since an early age.

Jessica Luise will be loved by fans of Jade Bird, The Beautiful South, Courtney Barnett, The Big Moon and Fleetwood Mac.

Her new single Television Mister is her first release to be joined by a full band, it was written by Jessica Luise and produced by Kieron Smith.

It follows on from the gorgeous indie-folk song Better Place which has received several plays on BBC Merseyside since its release, and more recently received airplay on Co-op Radio, playing in every Co-op store in the country.

Television Minister was released today, Thursday 20 August and is a departure from her previous chilled out indie folk sound as it goes full on indie rock with this one.

Written during lockdown, Television Mister tells the story of falling in love with an on-screen character and eventually finding someone with those attributes in real life.

Television Mister has a great melody, driven by luscious guitar hooks and a heavy drum beat, this is certainly going to promote her into the must be watched in the realms of the indie music scene.

Lyrically the song is very tongue in cheek, describing that search for the prefect partner whilst comparing him to the TV and movie persona’s of the proverbial leading men brought to life by the words “Imagine if a guy like you could really exist, instead of boys who cannot fill the shoes of men made out of scripts” and “you were everything I dreamed for, everything I dreamed for and more”.

The fun lyrics continue until the protagonist finds her dream mister when she sings “I remember when you called me and asked me out for coffee, we parked ourselves upon a bench you smiled cos you had missed me, you were everything that he was my television mister for real”.

The son crashes out to the gorgeous guitar riffs and a muted vocal as the dream has perhaps come true !!

Television Mister is a fantastic track, blistering catchy and engaging guitar riffs with a great drum beat and a fantastic vocal, this slightly different path for Jessica Luise should get her recognised as a future star in what is all too often a male dominated genre.
