MACY - Smoking Gun

Hailing from Wales, MACY has always had a love for music.

Since the age of eleven, MACY quietly honed her Dream Pop/Contemporary R&B music, developing her writing skills along the way.

It proved to be a very successful 2019 for MACY, which saw her become one of the ten acts to be selected on the Forte 10 project. Whilst on the project, MACY played successful slots at Focus Wales, Swn Festival and Hub Festival, in what was her debut Festival Year.

Earlier this year MACY released her debut single Cinema which has received an amazing response being played on BBC Sounds, on the Adam Walton show and with Bethan Elfyn also playing the track on her BBC Wales show. 

MACY’s highly anticipated follow up single Smoking Gun will be released today, July 17 2020.

And it’s a great follow up to Cinema, it’s a gentle blast of electro pop, it’s got a nice chilled melody which pricks up the ears and gets you listening.

The track focuses on the gorgeous vocal that Macy delivers, as it is give some layering to show depth at different parts of the track and complements the chilled vibe of the song to perfection.

I love the chorus of the song where MACY sings “why you gotta keep on lying ten times in a hit and run, why you gotta keep denying got a call with a smoking gun ……..woh oh oh oh got a call with a smoking gun” it’s catchy and ensures the track stays in your head.

Smoking Gun is another confident release from MACY as she continues to develop her sound, I’m looking forward to her next release, I think she is going to be one of our next stars.
