Scottish “imaginative garage rockers” Felix And The Sunsets are a rock three-piece from Leith, Edinburgh consisting of Felix Christie (vocals/guitar), Max Wilson (drums/vocals) and Neil Martin (bass/vocals).

With influences from Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, The Stooges, Jimi Hendrix and The Velvet Underground, their music is loud and electrifying.

With main support slots to The Van T’s at a sold out Sneaky Pete’s and DMS at Edinburgh’s Liquid Rooms already under their belts, Felix And The Sunsets are quickly proving themselves to be a powerful live attraction, with Mockit Music praising the “powerful nature of the performance” from the “ultra-talented musicians”, calling their set “a special performance” and “an onslaught of inspired garage rock”.

Their passionate and punky singles have been played on air by the renowned, Scottish, music-industry figure and tastemaker Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio and have won them support from the UK’s number one grassroots rocknroll promoters This Feeling, who added their singles Déjà Vu and Whose Happiness Is This? to their Best New Bands playlists, describing the group as:

Their new single El Cubano is released today 31 March 2020 and is a catchy number, it starts off with a heavy almost reverb bass which continues throughout, steady understated drums and a sliding guitar set the rhythm of the track. This is accompanied by Christie’s strong vocal with the initial lyrics giving the nod to the song title “gotta play like El Cubano, gotta find….. ,gotta sing like Che Guevara”.

There is also a very repetitive chorus “gotta gotta break it gotta gotta fake it gotta gotta take it gotta gotta make it gotta gotta shake it” which will give it a good sing along vibe when played live.

It’s a gritty, dirty sounding song, which has a real kick ass attitude to it, this is definitely going to feature on my playlist.
